DMCA: reporting copyrighted content

What to do if content reachable through SkillLens infringes your copyright, and what to do if your content was taken down in error.

Last updated: 3 October 2026.

Designated agent

SkillLens is published in Morocco and has no agent registered with the United States Copyright Office. That changes nothing about what follows: any notice sent to the address below is read by a person and handled under the procedure on this page, in the same timeframe.

Sending a notice

Send your notice to contact@liteailabs.com with "DMCA" in the subject line.

To be actionable a notice must carry the six elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3): your signature (electronic is fine); identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the material claimed to be infringing and where it is, precisely enough for us to locate it; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

An incomplete notice does not trigger a takedown, because it leaves us unable to identify the material or to confirm you may act. We will say what is missing rather than file it away.

What we do next

We remove or disable access to the identified material promptly, and tell the trainer or organisation that uploaded it, passing on the notice.

We do not generally monitor uploaded content. SkillLens is a tool training organisations use to publish their own material and questions: editorial responsibility for that content is theirs, and our part is to act when a report reaches us.

Disputing a takedown

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was wrong (because you hold the rights, because the use is covered by an exception, or because the material was misidentified) send a counter-notice to contact@liteailabs.com.

It must carry your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, and your contact details together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

We pass your counter-notice to whoever sent the original report. Unless court proceedings are started within the statutory period, the material may be restored.

Repeat infringers

A workspace that attracts repeated, well-founded reports is terminated. The policy is applied case by case rather than by an automatic count, because a well-founded report and an abusive one are not told apart by how many there are.

A plainly abusive notice (one sent to get a competitor's material removed, say) exposes its sender to liability under § 512(f), which covers knowing misrepresentation.
