Purpose and acceptance

SkillLens is a training evaluation platform: it drafts questionnaires from your material, runs them before, during and after a session, scores the answers and produces reports.

Creating an account, using the free plan and taking part in a session all constitute acceptance of these terms. If you accept them on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

Trainer accounts

An account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done from your account; tell us immediately if you suspect someone else has used it.

A workspace may hold several trainers depending on the plan. The owner of the workspace decides who enters and who leaves, and is answerable for the access they grant.

Repeatedly opening free accounts, by one person or one organisation, in order to work around the free plan's limits results in the suspension of the accounts concerned.

Attendees

An attendee joins a session with a link and an access code, without creating an account. They are bound by no subscription obligation and may, at any time and from their own screen, export or erase their data.

The trainer who invites attendees undertakes to have informed them of the purpose of the evaluation. We provide the tool; informing the people concerned is for the organisation running the session.

What you undertake not to do

Upload unlawful, defamatory or infringing content, or special category data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR: health, political opinions, trade union membership, sexual orientation. The service is not designed to process any of it and must not receive it.

Attempt to reach another workspace's data, work around a plan's limits, automate use of the service beyond normal human use, or resell access to the service without written agreement.

Use the service to score or rank people for the purpose of automated individual decisions: hiring, dismissal, discipline. The analyses it produces are teaching feedback, reviewed by a trainer, and nothing the service produces is designed to be the sole basis of a decision of that kind.

AI-generated content

The questionnaires drafted from your material, the analysis of written answers and the summaries are produced by a language model. They can contain errors, approximations and misreadings.

You remain responsible for what you put in front of a group: read the questions before you ask them, and the analyses before you pass them on. The service keeps that review within reach (nothing is projected to a room without you opening it) because it is the only guarantee that holds.

Multiple-choice scoring, the projected distributions and the numerical reports are deterministic and use no model at all: they are calculations, not estimates.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, with no contractual availability commitment. Its operating state, measured on the last 24 hours of real activity, is published on the status page.

Interruptions for maintenance can happen. We announce them in advance when they are planned, and avoid working hours where we can.

Features change. We do not withdraw a feature a paid plan depends on without telling its subscribers and, where appropriate, offering them a way out at no cost.

Suspension

We may suspend a workspace for a serious breach of these terms, for persistent non-payment, or on a serious signal of abuse. Suspension deletes nothing: the data stays intact and recoverable.

A suspended workspace sees a screen that gives a way to reach us and a reference to quote. We answer every challenge, and a suspension made in error is lifted.

Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. Any substantial change is announced to account holders before it takes effect, and the update date appears at the top of this page.

If a change does not suit you, you may cancel under the terms of sale, at no cost and without having to give a reason.
